We always aim to bring innovation and uniqueness to the projects we work on. Our current project includes the installation and setup of a 3 sided media wall fireplace for a local home owner. We are excited to share our experience with you, so if you’re interested, keep reading!
Measurements and Dimensions
The first and foremost step is of this project was planning and analysis.
We took an initial count, taking into account the size of the wall, the height of the ceiling, and any potential obstacles that might affect the installation. We then planned our measurement toensure that the media wall and the fireplace fit perfectly.
For this project, the media wall aimed to accommodate a 65″ inch TV, with a 1800mm wide electric fireplace. This took into account an additional 20″ on each side of the TV to build additional space and padding. The fireplace is an LED electric fireplace, requiring a socket for the connection and a stand below it. A 105″ measurement was required across the length of the media wall to correctly center the insert gap for the TV. From then, a 20″ marker from the left and right sides was placed.
Once I had the measurements and marking put in place, I got to work!
Electric Fireplace Installation
The key point for installing this is ensuring there is a power outlet nearby for the electric fireplace to work. The fireplace considered the length of the TV, 65″ inches, with a 15″ inch gap between the TV and Media Wall Fireplace and a inset slot of 20 inches in the middle of the gap. The inset slot acts as a placement for any remote controls or other small devices, and also hosts an additional power outlet for the fireplace.
Once everything was set-up and installed, we tested everything to make sure it’s working as it should. See below for the results and live demo of the LED flame effects for the fireplace!
